Tweecer Writes To Two Positions At Once
Can anyone help me out? When I write to position 1 on my tweecer it also write postion 3 and vice versa. This also happens when I write to positions 2 and 4. My car is a 94 Cobra w/ SC
When writing to the tweecer there are a couple of gotchas. first to make sure you know that:
-- The dimple on the switch represents Position 1 (custom)
-- Full Clockwise is position 5 and is NOT writeable
If you write while the switch is pointing to position 5, it will write to position 1. When you switch from one position to another, you must wait a full second after changing positions before clicking write tweecer, otherwise it will write to the position you switch from. If you verify that you are following proper procedures and it is still not writing properly, then post again and we will go from there.

Tweecer writing to multiple positions
Mike,
I believe that I am using the position switch correctly and as for the time delay bewteen writes, I think I have that covered also. I was writing to a position, completing the write, switching positions, then opening a new file from my hard drive, hitting the refresh button on the scalars page, verifying that the variable changes were present and that I had the correct file, and finally writing it to the tweecer. The entire process must take a couple of minutes. I started doing it this way because I thought it was me just writing to the wrong location origanally. I even went to the trouble of loading new files from the hard drive to change the data set in the application and then reading the tweecer to make sure the data was changing after the writes. Any ideas?

This started happening to me also. I had a file and created 4 versions each with different timing in tables. It seemed to work the first time ok with 4 differrent versions loaded and I double checked it so it was working. Then I edited the file pulling in tables from my original save and using some scalars instead of tables. So I recreated 4 files again and loaded them and now they load in 1 & 3 or 2 & 4, so I only can now use two different setups instead of four. This is a major bummer, but I'll survive :-)

Hey guys,
First off, give me your board revs. CalEdit will display this string when you read or write the tweecer. Based on your board revs, I will either send you an updated CalEdit to test or give you some files to write to the tweecer, read back, save to ccf's and email to me.

Mike,
My Tweecer shows 5104R00E in Calcon. I created a whole new file and tried to load it in all four positions editing some scalars and it still writes 2 locations at once. I am also emailing you my ccf file.
Thanks, Don

Not sure if mine writes to multiple locations at the same time (I'll have to check that). But I do ocassionaly have a problem with it writing to the tweecer two times in a row (writes, then writes again), when I only clicked the "write" button once. It does this every once and a while. It also does bad things to the driver sometimes for who knows what reason. I usually have to start over with caledit at that point. Something else that sometimes happens at the same time, is if I pull the key out and the tweecer is still hooked to the usb cable, the fan will turn on, until I disconnect the tweecer.
My board rev. is J3R51B02. Win2K Pro also.

Tweecer writes to multiple position at once
I just wanted to let everyone know the status on this issue. Mike sent me a different version of Caledit, that allowed me to select the "4 two bank" configuration on the utilities page. I then switched back to the standard version of Caledit and was able to write to all positions without over writing anyothers. I would also like to thank Mike for this help and great response. :D
