Calcon issue
I did some data logging today, and had a few problems with calcon (latest release)
First is the data spikes & dropouts which are still happening. These aren't so serious, because it's easy to find and delete them. It's just makes it much harder to work with the log files.
The more serious problem is that for 4 seconds (about 45 samples) the exact same values were recorded, except for AFR from the wide band. This was at full throttle.
Any work-around for these issues?
Does having a larger or smaller number of variables in the payload change anything?

I tried again today, and have found that every time I go WOT, calcon just logs the same values over and over, and keeps doing this until I let off. The ET value keeps increasing during those times, and the AFR from the LM1 also keeps recording.
Today I tried it with a smaller payload, and the same thing happened at WOT. There seems to be less spiking with the smaller payload, but the freezing values are a big problem for me.

Ok after some confirmation emails.......
This was a problem in A7 & A8, but A9 is fixed.
Thanks,

Thanks for looking into this, Dale.
It is definitely A9 I am using - the laptop I use has never had any version other than A9 on it.
I have even removed the software, then re-installed with a new download that I took from the tweecer site on May 27th. The file I used is RT130A9.zip, file size of 5002882 bytes.
The EEC is using CDAN4 strategy. Would it be helpful to send or post some sections of the datalog where this happens?

Send me a complete datalog. Put the PCM code & strategy in the subject line. I will take a look see & forward on to the others to get feed back..

I have not seen any other posts (that I remember) regarding the CDAN4 stuff, since A8. I use the CDAN4 stuff last weekend on a 97 TBird with a eaton SC on it and had no problems.
omillar, send me an email at info@tweecer.com and I will send you a slightly updated calcon.exe for you to try.

Mike,
I tried the software you sent, and it looks like it has solved the problem. It kept recording during several full throttle tests.
There are still occasional spikes / dropouts, but that's not too hard for me to work around.
Thanks a lot - you have made my day :)

I am sure glad that it was an easy fix, BUT!!! Why did it not get updated when you installed A9??? Did you possibly have calcon open when you installed A9 over A8?
