USB Serial conversion SW for Windows 7
I have been trying to connect my Innovate WB to my PC using a serial to USB dongle without success. After much research I found out the Belkin dongle I had does not work with Windows 7. Short of writing a book here I am wondering if anyone else has connected a WB to their Windows 7 PC using a USB/Serial connection, and how it was done.

Re: USB Serial conversion SW for Windows 7
Funny you mention. I have a Windows 7 laptop (I use for my drone Ground Control Station) and it also has BE/EA on it with dongle. I have the DLG-1 dual wide band setup and cannot get it to work at all. I've been a Systems Engineer for almost 30 years and cannot figure it out.
1. Tried different drivers, nada
2. Made my own FTDI cable(s) and nada. (they work with my RFD 900+ radios so I know they work)
3. Called Innovate spoke with "Adam" he had no idea except maybe cable. He said some have been picky before.
So I ordered one he suggest to see if that works. It has not come in yet but expect any day now and will let you know what I find out.

That would be great. I called Innovate back when I wrote this and they had no idea then either.

Does Windows recognize something being plugged in and out in the device manager window? If so, see what comm port it gets assigned. Might not be what the innovative software is set to.

It was the cable. Both FTDI connectors I used (Cirus & one from Adafruit) and neither would work. I bought one from E-Bay (http://www.ebay.com/itm/251143857147?_t ... EBIDX%3AIT) and it worked jut fine.
And yes to answer your question Windows did see the connection when I plugged them in. As I stated above I already use these two FTDI serial cables to run my ground control station using 900mhz Radios and they work fine so not sure why Innovates serial would not work.
