I am using BE 2010 and a GUFB strategy to tune a few 5.0s me and my brothers have.
I also have a supercharged 6 cylinder that I use a GURE strategy that Derek supplied me.
Now living in Australia and coming into this world 5 years after we converted to metric, I find it a pain in the ass trying to use a system of measurement I was not bought up on.
I remember one of my TAFE (trade school) lecturers standard reply to anyone who gave him an answer to a question in an imperial unit, and it was:
This country converted to metric in 1974! he would continue to repeat it until the answer was given in a metric unit.
The GURE strategy is in metric for the parameters I need in metric.
It would make life a lot easier if I did not have to try and roughly convert stuff on the fly when using GUFB.
And also the user preferences do not change anything even when set to do so.
Now my question is:
What needs to be done to a GUFB definition to get it to give me ACT, ECT, and Vehicle speed, as read on the dashboard/datalog screens to display in degrees C and KM/HR?
I am thinking it needs to be changed in Excel, but what exactly needs changing?
Thanks
Chris.

Re: GUFB and metric units.
In BinaryEditor (i don't know 2010 version) you have User Preferences where you can change(?) some units.
In Excel search "YEquation"..
Celsius i use this:
(X*2-32)*5/9
and for Km/h
X/2*1.609344
I am using TunerPRO...

Re: GUFB and metric units.
Thanks mate,
That is what I was thinking needed to be done, but when I tried to do it before it did not work properly.
It seems to be good now, will test it tomorrow, its 11.30pm here at the moment and the neighbours might not like me making noise now.
Also BE 2010 has the preferences but they don't work.
Thanks
Chris.

Re: GUFB and metric units.
I tested it yesterday, and it all works fine.
The speedo is out compared to the cars dash speedo, but the cars speedo is out to a GPS, the BE speedo seems to read a lot closer to the GPS.
I will need to do something about the car speedo, It has always been out, and changing drive gears has made no change, there is a calibration screw on the speedo so I will have to give this a go.
Thanks
Chris.
