Calcon Freezes during datalog

Post by dynoman » Thu Jan 22, 2004 7:35 pm

I was datalogging today and had the wierdest thing happen.

I started a new log and then accelerated through the gears. I was on it pretty hard and then the car just fell on it's face. I thought I hurt the motor. . I was able to limp the thing home but it was like it hurt a cylinder or something. When I got home I tried the different positions before shutting the car off and they all seemed to do the same thing except position 5 which made the car died. I noticed the fuel pump was still running after it died. I turned the car off and then back on and everything seems fine. Now here's the interesting thing.

When I look at the data log in calcon, it goes to a about the first 3 seconds then everything freezes. The sample # and time stamp continue to increase as well as the scrool bar but all the guages and everything is frozen.

When I exported the data, It looks like the computer froze at one single point but calcon just kept logging at that point. all the numbers are the same. Like it got stuck at 3416 RPM and kept that number.

anybody else seen this. I will upload the log to the yahoo files section "dynomanlog.csv

This is a bad bad thing to happen. I don't know if this is becuase of the new sofware or not but this is the only time it has ever happened was when using RT310A87

Can you list the exact parameters that you were logging at the time?
Also did you build the datalog payload with 1.30A7 or 1.20b3?
It sounds like the payload got hosed...................

Thanks,

I'm pretty sure I created the payload with 1.20b. I don't remember ever reseting the payload again before dataloging. I downloaded the file to the yahoo groups files section "dynomanlog" is the name so you can see what I was logging.

Since this post I have re-created my payload with 1.30A and dataloged about 6-7 more times with no problems.

Just hope it doesn't happen again.
