I have a 2003 2.3 auto ranger with the immobilizer (omn6 catch code) that's getting transplanted into an old Econoline. I already have a pass thru obd2 cable (vag kkl) At the moment I just want to delete dtc flags, adjust shift points possibly, so the swap functions properly in its new home. I might want to in the future add a turbo / supercharger. But that might never happen. so would I need just the binary editor? Also what's the benefit of getting both software packages? If I'm reading this correctly it looks like I need to buy the more expensive usb license to flash via the obd2 port, why is this necessary?
