A9L data prob

Anything about Ford EEC tuning. TwEECer and Moates questions dominate, but there's some SCT and OBD-II knowledge too.

A9L data prob

Post by Lman » Tue Sep 10, 2019 6:21 am

I have what I thought was a good A9L PCM till I hooked it up to a 90 Must.
It runs the car fine but I have no live data in logs for ECT or ACT . The values seen to be PCM substitutes
The car's original PCM does have the actual data.'
The Caps look a little funky though. Using BE and QH .

The question is . Does the fact that I do not have good ECT and Act data indicate a bad PCM ?
The sensors and wiring are good.

How have you determined you have bad ect/act data? What is being displayed vs what is actual on your gauge?
