Anything about Ford EEC tuning. TwEECer and Moates questions dominate, but there's some SCT and OBD-II knowledge too.

Is it detrimental to increase TV pressure on E4OD

Post by David Claflin » Wed Jan 28, 2026 12:45 pm

Converted my 91 F150 to HOGO1, I then increased TV pressure 10% on 1-2, and 2-3 shifts. It shifts much better, but I'm a little concerned this maybe too much for long term reliability. What say you?

I always thought firmer shifts resulted in higher reliability and longevity from ATFs. As long as it isn't so excessive that it's killing Ujoints and stressing the rearend, I wouldn't view it as a problem. But I am interested in what others say.
