Switch rev limiter to spark cut
I have the truck in my signature with the EKO1/OMAE1 strategy. After turning up the boost a good amount this year the fuel cut for the rev limiter has become quite violent. It lean pops out the intake and tries to blow off every vacuum line. There's a parameter to disable fuel cutoff entirely but it also disables decel fuel cutoff and torque reduction. Is there any way to make it to where the rev limiter only cuts spark?
2002 F150 Harley Davidson, Supercharged 5.4L, EKO1/OMAE1, 11:1 compression, TFS 185 heads, MHS stage 4 TFS blower cams, ID1050X injectors, DW100 and DW400 pumps, E85, Kenne Bell 2.6 with JLP power flow, FI Interchiller, Trick Turbo intercooler, Circle D 265MM Pro Series, too much more.
Re: Switch rev limiter to spark cut
Spark cut alone fills the exhaust with unburnt mixture that can go off in an uncontrolled burn.
Inceasing the RPM limit values to maximum would retain fuel at the expense of losing the RPM limiter altogether.
Tuning retarded spark above the RPM limit could be done.
