GUFB lambse not following OL table

Anything about Ford EEC tuning. TwEECer and Moates questions dominate, but there's some SCT and OBD-II knowledge too.

GUFB lambse not following OL table

Post by 95GTSpeedDemon » Tue Sep 17, 2019 7:37 am

Cold start [90*f], lambse is around 12.5afr for a bit then leans out slowly. Issue is, i have zeroed out the fuel startup enrichment & targeted stoich, and forced OL idle w/ the closed throttle timer and its targeting richer than i set it to. Ideas?

I'm not sure, but if you post the tune that's reproducing this, it'll be a lot easier to figure out than guessing as to what it might be.

I'm at work, but I'll do my best to remember to look at this when I get home tonight.

Or perhaps someone else will take a look at it and chime in as to what the likely problem is.

tried again, runs rich at start up. i found its not going lower than my lowest afr scaler set now since i nulled the multipliers. now i need to see why its not commanding 14.6afr. the stock min afr setting of 10.x explains the black smoke that was seen. now its just not *as* bad.

My guess is it's FN308. Try flattening it out and see if that changes things.

that may have helped but it wasnt 100% the fix. i found since i didnt use LOLOD to command OL fuel at CT only and i didnt set the NIOLD & NIHYS correctly, it went back to CL fuel... which the lumpy cam causes a lean reading... bang, the eec throws fuel at it. (swapping the NIOLD/NIHYS values actually fixed it, stays in OL @ Closed Throttle now).

thank you for your help!
