Anything about Ford EEC tuning. TwEECer and Moates questions dominate, but there's some SCT and OBD-II knowledge too.

Finally got to the dyno

Post by db1994 » Tue Dec 20, 2005 2:40 pm

Thanks to everyone for all the great info and insight that you contribute to the forums!. Especially boss96 who actually called me and helped me out over the phone not long ago. ;)

I finally took my heap to the dyno and was almost shocked at how much power it made. Numbers in my sig were with spark blowout at 4500rpm so we stopped it there.

Tweecer + wideband + stock cobra longblock = $$ ;)

All stock.
Stock heads, crank, rods, pistons, tranny etc. Nothing fancy at all.

EDIT: Here is the new dyno sheet with an MSD installed to prevent the spark from blowing out..

I see you are using a zeitronix.

Did you get the transfer function ironed out to where it reads accurately in Calcon?

If so, could you email the transfer function?

Sure. though to be honest - its about .2 on the lean side in calcon. It either needed to be .2 lean or .2 rich at best guess. Keep in mind too - the display on the zeitronix has a bit of a display lag to it, so its hard to compare them accurately without using a laptop and datalogging with the zeitronix software.

I will send it a little later at any rate ;)

I used to go there when Steve called it Reith. Good guy.
Nice to see a fellow tweecer in the general area. Do you ever go to the Tower Shops car show on friday? I'm usually there, stop by and say hello.

Yeah, I am trying to make a Tower Shops run one night, its just a long drive.
Once I purge the 104 octane gas in the tank out, I will definately head down though. ;)

FWIW - Here is a copy of my tune file if anyone wants it to look at or use it as a basic start up tune for a turbo.
