Do I need to change the ISC neutral air flow graph?
First off let me state that I don't have a tweecer or EEC tuner. I have hardware created by Graig Moates (www.moates.net). With this I can burn updated bin files to a chip and install it on the J3 Adapter. Now for my problem. My engine is a 1990 5.0 from a Mustang with iron GT40 heads, Trick Flow stage 1 cam and Edelbrock Performer intake. I have the stock throttle body and MAF along with 19 lb injectors. When I start the car it idles up to about 1000 and then falls and dies. I've changed my throttle body airflow by using the procedures I found here. Since I have the stock MAF and throttle body, do I need to change the ISC neutral air flow graph? I have modified it based on my MAF voltage at different RPMs and it still will not run. The only way I can get it to run is by letting air in through the Idle Air by pass plate that I installed. But it still will not run right. What should I try next? If I increase my ISC neutral air flow graph by say 20% will that make the IAC input more air into the engine at the given RPM?
Definately need to tune the ISC neutral air flow. Also need to change the throttle body air flow scalar. These have to match. The throttle body air flow tells the computer how much air flows without ISC and the ISC neutral air flow tells the computer how much air flows with ISC. You should look at buying a used tweecer, dial in the tune, burn it to the moates chip, then sell the tweecer. That's what I did on both my cars. Look at the article I posted under the FAQs section http://tweecer.oplnk.net/viewtopic.php? ... 287f9fb0f0
My intake manifold made a bigger difference in air flow numbers than the throttle body/MAF combo did.
