Question and complaint
Ok so i have a 2005 subsru wrx with a stock ej20 motor in it which is now blown thanks to a tuning shop in Scottsdale az called Dyno comp. I brought my car in to get a tune and a boost controller put in. And they had the brite idea to gernade my engine. The reason i say this is because of the 4 graphs i was given on a 12 run dyno tests says it all. 1 i only got 4 pages which consist of runs 2 and 12. 2 On those graphs it says the boost pressure was at 30psi at 2500 rpms on a stock ej20 motor. 3 when i got the horrible call that my engine was blown they said "if you want more hp your going to need a bigger engine let me get you a quote" i had to call them back to get the full story. Which was they blew my engine. On top of Destroying my car they made me pay $600 to release the car, for the labor of blowing my engine. Dyno Comp is fully responsible for blowing my engine. It was 100% negligence on the tuners or done on purpose to get me to buy a new engine through them. I'm posting graphs with this post if anyone thinks it's not negligence please let me know. But I think it was the perfect storm for them to blow an engine. To have a boost controller put in and a tuning requested. I did not ask them to touch the boost nor did I tell them to crank it up to 30 PSI out the gate. I don't know how many times they did this run because I only got graphs for runs 2 and 12. My response to them was "how could you let this happen. You guys have basically an EKG machine hooked up to my ECU. You should know temperature pressure And basically everything that is running inside that engine on a computer screen. How could you keep running the car if it wasn't running right in the first place" and pushed it to the limit. They're response was "why was the tuner in econ mode and the engine was running rich and they didnt know The backstory on the engine. Well it was a pristine 70,000 mile engine. I don't know Don't you think you're supposed to check the tuner before you go running it or were you aiming it right into the ground" This was 100% negligence on the tuners behalf. And I would love to sue for damages and a lost vehicle. So if anyone knows a lawyer that can handle mechanics lawsuits please let me know because I'm trying to find one. And if anyone is looking to get a tune from Dyno Comp i would definitely reconsider unless you want to pick up a blown engine and have to pay for them destroying your vehicle.
