BXR Intake manifolds

Post by Carl » Tue Oct 14, 2003 9:33 pm

Does anyone out there know of anyone that has a BXR manifold kit for a 5.0. Maybe one of your local Speed shops has some N.O.S on their shelves. The manufacturer is out of business,I guess I should have bought one a few years ago.Any help would be appreciated, Thanks,Carl :beers:

Sorry, I don't know about a BXR but I have a Roush 5.0L 3 piece intake for sale, NIB. I bought a few when they cleared the shelves, sold 3 last year and am gonna keep one and sell one whenever.

Info on them is hard to find but they appear to use the same principle as the BXR (I don't know which came first) and they are alot easier to use. The castings are a work or art, seriously! The kit comes with all little parts and doesn't require the distributor relocation.

Let me know if you are interested. Check Ebay for some pricing. They show up on there occasionally at $800-900USD.

Thanks, John in TN

Those BXR intakes are cool, but there is no way I'd buy a part from a company that is out of business. Seems like they were kind of tricky to install correctly, from what I remember.

I'd go the Roush route before the BXR route.

Just my .02 cents worth...

I have no recollection of what the Roush intake was.Apparently Roush is no longer making them either.I am waiting to hear from Roush about some specs on the intake. If all else fails,I'll probably pick up a TFS intake. From what I've read, they appear to be the best of the breed. :beers:
