I see 'guests' all the time, as well as users that never post.

"workforce" is one of them I see often

I think people scan to see if this type of "thing" is something they want to be involved in. Or their here to ask one question which makes no sense at all then leave.

I hear that vortech, but its hard to look away from the modulars, I was never a big fan of mod motors until I seen first hand what their capable of

knowing that a bone stock 4.6 can handle 1200rwhp all day long and some with no problems is a major bonus, mix in the dohc's and the fun factor increases significantly

not to mention their wider with more weight shifted to the back, and they come from the factory align honed with 6 attachment mains

Henry definitely took a step in the right direction with the mods

You need to be a little more clear, there is no sohc motor that can handle 1200hp in stock form and very few 4 valve motors can handle that either.

yeah sry coug, i ment the blocks, i get carried away sometimes, these days i consider anything with a stock block to be a stock engine

yeah not too many 4.6's in stock trim with all stock internals can handle that much power, but the stock 4.6 block can take the abuse with no problems, slap a rotating assembly in it and a blower with 30# of boost and enjoy

Thats wonderful! Congrats on the house and future hitching, not so much on having to work like a dog though. I am sure once you get settled in with the house and marriage you will be back at it with the build. dont be a stranger, miss seeing you around here. 8)

I lurk because most of the questions I want answers to are allready answered. I just spend alot of time reading posts and try to understand how everything works together in the tune. Im getting really close to being done and will post a log for review once I think its good. I am using decphias dummy template and working the maf curve now.

I have to admit, I've been lurking since I joined just after I got my QH/BE/Analyzer. I'm a complete noob and know that most of the things I need to know have already been covered, so i read, read, read, and read some more. I'm only going to ask if I have exhausted every search function I can possibly think of. Everybody is busy and I'm not going to be one of those guys that posts asking a question thats already been answered a few dozen times, just because they are to busy to use the search button.

There's a gray area when it comes to asking questions. Some things may just get a quicker and more thorough understanding if you ask, even if you've done fairly exhaustive searching. But when you as AFTER have read everything that there is to find on the subject, you'll be in a much better position to ask "informed" questions. I don't expect everybody to do the research of a doctoral graduate student, but taking 5 minutes with a handful of different search combinations isn't asking too much. In an effort to help those that are willing to search first, I try to keep good threads with good thread titles so they can be more easily found. Anybody that's been around here a while knows I can be a PITA when it comes to creating good thread titles.

Ive lurked a good bit. Mainly because when I signed up, I believe I was still putting an engine together, and didnt even have a QuarterHorse. So Im pretty sure all my posts are in the hardware forum.

I picked up the QH a few weeks back, and just registered BE/EA last week. I probably wont lurk as much any more, but that depends on what I screw up from here on out. LOL

I had planned on doing my first datalogs yesterday, but kinda hard when the car looks like it does now. Im probably literally minutes from Chris, so Im sure he know what Im talking about. And it doesnt look like it will be melting anytime soon.

I've lurked off and on for a while, primarily due to burn-out. I'm a standalone guy from way back, became an SCT convert a few years ago, and wound up largely washing my hands of the whole car thing after getting sick of dealing with customers unrealistic expectations and unwillingness to pay for results. Add to the mix the birth of my son and the associated distractions that poopy diapers and cute new baby tricks brings, and it's easy to lose focus of the car stuff. Now that my son is old enough to hang out in the garage a bit with me (and LOVES Daddy's "noisy Mustang") it's time to re-enter the field, although this time for fun rather than enterprise.

I'm still digging through old posts trying to figure out what I might wish to add to. There are a good number of super sharp folks on this forum, and there isn't a ton of stuff that I probably know that somebody else hasn't already discussed. Some areas you can expect to see me chime in on shortly are those matters of alternative fuels as my time working at my current place of employment has spurred my interest in fuels that are grown instead of pumped from the depths of hell. :)

Anyway, night crew is almost over, so I better wrap up. I look forward to getting to know you guys in the months and years to come.
