just wondering what some of you folks have turned out, i've heard tales of 2,000rwhp cars still utilizing the stock ford fuel injection but haven't done or seen one personally, just curious as to what folks are kicking around these days
pics would be nice too

Re: most hp through stock ford efi
The most I've ever heard of is in the 800-900HP range with aftermarket blocks and/or mod motors. I'm sure there's some ~1000hp engines out there somewhere using stock equipment. I just don't know about them. Some guy around here was trying to tune with 160lb injectors a while back. He was having a hell of a time, but if he got it working, I expect the HP potential in those was pretty nice. He probably didn't have NEARLY enough engine for them though...like the Highschool kid that slaps a Holley 750 on his bone-stock inline 6 and expect that alone to make him big HP.
Overall, I get that the perception is people are just too afraid of this happening:

The guy wanted to enter the 800rwhp club. He tried 24 lbs boost. Have to read the comments but he said the rod bolts let go on #4 and took out #8 rod also. Best I can figure is they had a bad tune for letting it detonate. Those engines should be able to handle that kind of power. Or maybe it was just a bad engine?
No matter, it's heart breaking to watch...but still not as bad as what the junkyards had to do last year with the liquid glass and the Cash-for-Clunker turn-ins.

From what I know about that one the tuner was too aggressive and has a history of chasing a big number on the dyno.cgrey8 wrote: Overall, I get that the perception is people are just too afraid of this happening:

Re: most hp through stock ford efi
24 PSI on a stock bottom end? Oh yeah, that's gonna work.
The car owner posted in that thread that the piston tops looked perfect in teardown, so he's not blaming the tune.

3.6 hp per cubic inch using stock block, head, electronics, etc..
Re: most hp through stock ford efi
There are a decent amount of 1000+ rwhp GT500's right now plus Evolution's 2011 GT that is running 8's they have to be up there power wise. I have seen some turboed Terminators making 1000+ rwhp too.

i'm going to tune a 2003 twin turbo cobra sometime after the 1st, should be pretty interesting, we're guesstimating it to be around ~1200 rwhp, i'll be sure to make a vid for once
