lol, thanks!

well if anyone has any doubts about mikes tuning ability, rethink it. he didnt know me from adam and without batting an eye he was willing to

1. listen to my concerns i had about my tune
2. give usefull information on what could be done, that a dummy like me could understand.
3. offer to help with my tune
4 actually TUNED MY COBRA FROM 400 MILES AWAY!!!!!
5. was professional, insightful, and mostly helpfull!

my original tune was a joke, the car ran like a hot turd. after mike worked his magic, the car actually excellerates and runs 1000 times better, has better throttle response, and better a/f ratio. im very impressed to say the least. in this day and age its hard to get anyone to do what mike did for me, and he gave up his evening working on it. that means alot to me and im very greatful, thanks again mike. you really helped me out!

Mike helped me tremendously in the beginning also. Took the fear out. My thanks also. Be forewarned, "TUNING" is addictive. I too often find my self taking my 20 mile tuning loop drive to cover the 5 miles I need to go for that gallon of milk. LOL. The beauty of it is I am up to 24mpg on the loop with 1- 1/8 mile blast and 1- 1/4 mile blast. If I go straight for the milk I only seem to average about 12mpg. I think I may just be having too much fun. Thanks Mike!

Wait till you become like Mike and I where we do not leave the house or drive without the laptop being hooked up to the car. I'm so bad that I make adjustments while I'm driving, make full throttle runs on the hwy while I am watching the BE Display instead of the road in front of me and making subtle idle and fuel changes while I am stuck in traffic. I have gotten my tune so accurate that EA wont even make or recommended changes regarding maf, injector settings or cam timing. As good as the tune is, there is always something to tweak!

That describes me too. While doing my E85 testing this weekend, I was making spark changes while driving. I didn't dare do this on the crowded Interstate. But on the open highways where I was the only car on the road, I was comfortable making tweaks. Although that practice is not something I recommend.

laptop? At that point why not buy a car computer :P

http://www.mini-box.com/Car-PC-Automoti ... -Solutions

get a wireless keyboard, and small touch screen display, and you're in business!

If I ever get some more $$ to put into the stang, this is the way I'm going. I haven't decided what all I'll put into it though, as it'd be nice to have sound system output as well, and that's going to take more juice. Might have to switch between A/V and datalogging. but for $500 or so, for the full time tuner it's a better option than laptop (IMO)

I actually have a device similar to that, but much smaller made by ARTIGO:

I never installed it. The processing power just isn't that great and transferring data between it and my laptop would be a pain. So it just wasn't feasible. IT is a neat idea though.

Nice idea. I have devised a way to display my laptop onto my 7" pioneer flip out dvd player while I am driving. Unfortunately I have no one to sit in my passenger seat so the laptop has found a near permanent residence there... ....lol

Oh great, another place to throw a ton of money on the car. But if I ever go back to open tracking, that will be essential, because a loose laptop ain't gonna pass tech.

there are quite a few people working on an SD card that can simply be connected to the QH and datalog without a bulky laptop, haven't heard anything of it lately, i suppose we'll find out soon enough

The log-to-SD-card option would be great! I still think an onboard "laptop equivalent" bolted down to the chassis would be best though.

Chris that's a cool little box for sure, but you're right would be too weak. The stuff I was looking at yesterday was full on Intel Core I3 (granted a smaller, but still solid proc) @ 2.93ghz, supporting 2 DDR3 ram sticks for up to 4gb or so. Plenty to run datalogging. Throw a nice 64gb or so SSD in there and you're crankin. It would be more expensive, but would definitely run whatever you want to throw at it. You're looking at $400 base for case, power supply (12v 250w), motherboard and proc. $45 for 4gb ddr3, $125ish for 64gb ssd, or $40 for 160gb standard laptop drive, $30 for a slim dvdrw. Little over 500 for standard drive, 600ish for ssd.

Y'all definitely need one of these: http://www.amazon.com/Wheelmate-Laptop- ... pg__header

The 13 pages of user uploaded images are hilarious!

As for Mike, I can't say enough good about him. He made me a basic tune last summer going just off of my combination to get me started. I haven't had the time in my personal life to devote any time to tuning, but when I eventually took it to a dyno tuner to let him have it, he only found an additional 10 HP. I was very impressed. (I've only put about 300 miles on the motor since it was first started up back in June.)

The reviews are even better than the product!!!

Wow is this thing great! I use it as a "mini-bar" when the friends and I go out to the bars. I can quickly fix multiple shots of tequila for myself and the friends as we drive from one bar to the next. We also discovered that if you place a pillow on top of it and turn on the cruise control you can catch quick naps on the interstate. If you swerve to the left or right the rumble strips on the road wake you up in plenty of time before you get into trouble. I can now take longer trips without being tired!

Also, i am now dating a midget and she fits nicely on the steering wheel desk which allows us to experiment sexually while driving. This thing is like WD-40 or duct tape, it is a million and one uses!

I LOVE THIS THING!!! It used to be way hard to cut up lines of coke while driving to pick up my friends to go out clubbing, but this is product has been the answer to my prayers! It's sturdy, and the surface is pretty flat. As long as you don't make any sharp turns, those lines aren't going anywhere... except in my nose. My only problem is that razor blades tend to cut into the surface, so be careful when you're drawing up those lines. An excellent product though!

This is perhaps the greatest invention in the world. I can line up my needles, spoon and tourniquet all while driving. It's also a great place to put my arm while I'm shooting up. It isnt really a great place to put my LSD stamps, well not when the window's down or the ACs running. When i black out, the table will catch my head and stop the drool from getting all over. The AutoExec's only problem is when me and my woman are driving together and i get in the mood. I grabbed her by the back of her head and tried to push her face into my crotch, trying to get some oral pleasure. Unfortunatly, I forgot the table was there and just kept slamming her face onto it. I ended up busting her nose wide open. If i hand't been so loaded with a mixture of black tar and china white, I may have realized what was going on after the 7th or 8th time. None of this changes the fact that the goddamn purple worm is out to get me.
