My name is Dave Blundell. I'm trying to lurk a little less and post a little more here. I work for Craig Moates doing tech support and want to try to reach out to this DIY tuning community more. The best way to get support on your Moates products is still to email support@moates.net but I'll do my best to answer things here.

As well as answering tech emails, I also use Moates hardware including the QuarterHorse on a fairly regular basis. I also work for one of the Midwest's larger speedshops as their tuner. I'm pretty familiar with most of the more popular strategies (GUFx, CBAZA, all the EECV stuff, 05+ stuff) and have literally tuned hundreds of Fords ranging from stock cars with boltons to 1000+ hp racecars.

I've been messing with cars for about 9 years and car computers and tuning for about 8. My roots are with the Honda EFI community, but I really tune just about anything at this point. In the year, I've worked on countless mod-motor Fords, lots of pushrod mustangs, EcoBoost SHOs, 2011 5.0L, lots of Charger/Challenger/300c Hemis, Vettes, F-bodies, 2010 Camaros, Nissan 240sx SR20, RB20, RB25, RB26, Nissan Skyline, countlee Hondas of all varities, DSMs, Supras, MR2s, Volvos, Megasquirt, AEM, Haltech, Bigstuff3, Motec, PowerFC, Autronic, ...

I'm currently working with Craig on a QuarterHorse-like device for OBD1 Nissan hardware, a coil-on-plug system for distributor cars (Hondas being initial target) and better simulation and verification tools for bench development work with ECMs.

I don't currently have any real fast cars of my own. I have an Integra set up for road racing that is no slouch (~240hp NA 2.0L, 2400lbs curb weight, 4.92 final drive) but not seriously fast by any means. I hope to get my NASA license in the teg this year but things are looking so busy I doubt I'll have time for much driving school. :(

Back a while, I got a QH and a dash screen to test with. However the developer of that screen was busy doing other development and didn't have any time for me. I tried to ping him again a few months later, and he responded rather abruptly saying something to the effect of "I told you I'd be busy for a while so I haven't gotten anything done with the Ford stuff." After that response, I just let it languish. Since I have little motivation to bother him again asking him for updates after that last response, I thought I might get a little more constructive response from you. So any update on that dashboard screen for Fords and the QH?
