Bowling Green, KY NMRA FINALS 2012 anyone going?

Post by incon_331_twinturbos » Tue Oct 02, 2012 10:08 pm

Just checking to see if anyone here is going this year? We go every year, and I'm "hoping" to take the fairmont now that I've got the reverse issue straightened out. The current tune in there is pretty rich, to the point it fouled out the plugs today (didn't have datalogging on or laptop in the car).

It would be cool to put some names with faces...hit me up if any of y'all are going.

So how was it? Good turn out in Factory Stock? Did you run TS, or Brackets? or just go to watch?

We had a blast!!! As usual. We ended up not taking the fairmont, it was running but lack of tuning, and some little annoying oil leaks (turbo oil drain/oilpan fitting) and some other misc. nick/nack stuff. So we ended up taking my buddy's 05 Legend Lime GT with a roushcharger on it, and he ended up with his personal best, running in True street. The air was VERY NICE!!!!

He ended up with a 11.72 (don't remember MPH). Hopefully we'll have the Fairmont ready for Bradenton.

I've managed to go ahead and pull the transmission out last week to fix the issue with no third gear (my fault as I messed up setting the TV pressure), and no O/D (keeps blowing o-ring on the solenoid, bad design, only attached to VB with one bolt/nut, on one side), and changing stock mustang Kmember with a tubular Kmember, dropped oil pan to WELD in a -10 fitting onto oilpan which should fix the oil leak.

Next big thing will be to repin 60 pin connector to change from A9P to T4M0 and utilize the HPX meter in a 3in. tube. AND install a Turbosmart Eboost street. So ya...lol, I've got my hands full!

it's a little M90 I believe, maybe 8-9lbs, that and the car is HEAVY, around 4K lbs.! This was with 18" Shelby rims all the way around with Mickey Thompson drag radials. Automatic car, AND my buddy is NOT the smallest of stature..LOL, 6'4" maybe 300lbs...
