Wanted to ask this and see if anyone here has seen this issue before or has had this issue before.
Got in my car after my truck broke and started up noticed it was low about 1/4 tank on fuel stopped off at the gas station filled her up and continued to go to my GF house. PArked it and went inside stayed the night came out the next morning when I was going to go home. Went to go start it it cranked over but didn't start i notice i wasn't hearing the fuel pump and so I started checking to see if I had voltage at the fuel pump. So took out my meter put the key to the on position. Put my meter on ground and the Brown/Pink wire at the harness under the rear bumper. Had 12v so figured ok must be the pump odd for a pump with 700 miles on it but whatever. So replaced the pump and still no go. Put 12v from the battery straight to the brown/pink and the pump went on. So it ruled out my ground and the pump was good. (should have tried that from the beginning) Any began looking for the relay. Went out bought a new fuel pump relay put it in and same thing. Pump wouldnt go on. Took a wire and put it on the ground from the relay ecm(light blue/orange) and put it to ground and the pump worked. Disconnected it and went to the eec test port and tested the ground(light blue/orange) there and it worked. Decided to turn off the key and turn it back on and it works. DId my eec fuel pump circuit the input pin 22 on the eec get hung up and didn't want to provide a closure for the relay? I never seen this happen before just wanted to see if anyone else ever had this happen.

Re: Fuel Pump
Yes I have. On a side note I got the car running now. But every once awhile the car will idle fine then it starts to do a lope and then drops out and dies what would cause this? I was also driving it recently and all of the sudden it seemed like it was running on 4 cylinder and it ran a bit and then kicked back in on all 8. But it only did that once. The lope and then cut out completely happens at least every time I drive it once. But it starts back up each time afterwards.
