Working on a base tune for my 93

Post by 93LX5OH » Wed Jul 27, 2016 7:13 pm

Hello Everyone,

So i will start out by saying this is the first car i have tried to tune myself. Currently i have the car running with an A9L along with an out of date chip that came with the car. The car gets around ok, but really i am just putting miles on the build at the moment and i am getting far too lean for safety (under load). I also have a Quaterhorse currently installed on a spare A9P with binary editor that i have been playing around with, but have not plugged her in yet. I will try and give as much relative info about my build as possible and upload the the calibration i have been working on. If i could get some input on what i should change before swapping my A9P into the vehicle i would appreciate it.

1993 LX 5 Speed, Stock bottom end, GT40P heads, B303 Camshaft, 1.7 RR, GT40 Tubular Intake, Ported Lower, 1" aluminum intake spacer, 70mm Mass Air, 24lb injectors , 76mm MAF, Fender CAI with cone filter, BBK long tubes, off road H pipe, SLP loadmouths, Flowmaster stainless axleback. I have all serpentine belt loads deleted except for the Alt (Electric water pump, manual steering gear, tensioner pulley delete, smog delete etc). I have an Innovate MTX-L Wideband that i can currently log my AFR with logworks, but plan on using the EGR wire to log it through Binary Editor.

Thanks for your time,
V/R

With a Quarterhorse, you can also load a A9L bin onto your A9P if you're more comfortable with that one.
