DOHC heads

non tweecer question............ anybody know if the dohc heads from a 5.4 navigator fit a 4.6 ? i got a line on a set cheap........ actually a hole 5.4 dohc engine, thanks

5.4 heads will not fit a 4.6....

they will fit on dohc 4.6's I have seen it done.

so if i can come up with a dohc 4.6 block i am golden ? i have a line on a whole lincoln mark8 motor too. well, not whole, no acessories, intake, flywheel. tell me more, what do i got to do? who do i ask? SHM probaly.

I thought there was alot of extra work involved getting the 5.4 heads to fit even on a DOHC 4.6... You would be better off and cheaper to just get 4.6 DOHC heads.... IMHO....

Go to www.modularfords.com & do a search for this..............

Putting 4.6 DOHC heads on a 5.4L & vice versa has been done before....

SHM, (sean Hyland Motorsports) says that they will fit. although thats all they said, no details no nothing. i assume they want me to buy thier19$ book about mod motors. while the thought of a 5.0 liter stroked 4 vavle sounds like a winner.......... i think maybe a long rod 383 will suit me more and be a whole lot easier. i was not aware until i looked at the rule book, but at the FFW mod motor class, i am not legal because my 90 lx notch did not come with a mod originally :(. oh well
