Pro M kicks @#$!

Post by ERStettin » Sat Mar 20, 2004 4:43 pm

I just got off the phone with Jim of Pro M. I had a ton of questions on getting my meter calibrated to it's utmost potential and getting my car tuned as well. He was on the phone with me for a good 30 to 40 minutes answering questions and giving me advice on what to do and not to do. I am very happy with their customer service and product (80 mm Pro M Race Meter). They just got themselves a customer that will give them repeat buisness.

I am going to send them my flow sheet from my meter and he is going to send me a copy of my 30 point graph. This is going to be great! I dyno on Tuesday and should have it by Monday. It will be very interesting to see how much difference it makes.

I am going to add Pro M to my list of companys to deal with....along with FTI and ADPerformance. Thumbs up Pro M!

Yep, they seem to be a very stand up company. Scott Beer (at the Corral) is very knowledgeable as well, and has contributed a ton to this thread (works for ProM as well):

Richard,

That is the thread that got me on the phone talking to them about the 30 pt numbers. I got them faxed to me from them and put it in the TwEECer and it flooded my car.....lol. Dang that thing was rich. I ended up putting the 10 pts back in the TwEECer and using that curve. It always worked with it.

I don't know why the two would be so different. I checked and double checked the numbers I input and it comes up the same. I suppose I could input it again and then just lean it out???? I don't know how that would work. My plugs were soaked though.

I agree, I have had very good support from them via e-mail, they usually get back to me the next day if not the same day!

Excellent company, I have not heard anything bad about them at all.

They used to check , flow and recal competitor's stuff. Then there was a problem and they stopped. Besides why should they make their competitors stuff work as good as theirs? I guess if you want a meter that has been properly flowed and is recal ready you have to buy one of theirs. I'm still trying to get my c&l to work right with the stock eec, but am leaning towards a new meter and tweecer. I like the fact they are doing meters for HP levels now, just tell them you want a meter to support 600 HP they send you one with the flow #'s , import the them and your set, as long as you have tweecer and have everthing else set.

Yeah, but the Incon MAF tube uses Pro-M electronics. I don't see what the problem is. Except that I think Dave Inall maybe owed them money or something when Incon went under. And now they're taking it out on the users. Seems rather unprofessional of them to me.
