i need some help

Post by racinjason » Mon Apr 26, 2004 4:43 pm

i have a non-tweecer problem. my car refuses to turn over. there are 8 wires in the clutch safety switch. 4 red with bule stripe. 2 blue with yellow, and 2 black with white. all i can find in my wiring diagram from ford is 2 of the red with blue. which, 1 goes to the solenoid. 1 goes to the ignition switch and is connected to a white with pink wire. now, i know the car runs. i have a switch wired from the bat to the solenoid to start the car. this is how it was when i bought the car. and there was no clutch safety switch. i put a safety in it, plugged in the red wires. but just hooked up the blue wires to the black. as my 2-step is wired into the safety switch as a launch rpm limiter. this is annoying that my stang wont start on the key. does anyone at all have any ideas? thx, Jay

the red with blue strip wires are the start wires.. try removing the 2 step wiring and plugging the other wires back in where they belong..
