This is where the BIN Hackers and definition junkies discuss the inner workings of the EEC code and hardware. General tuning questions do not go here. Only technical/hardware-specific/code questions and discussions belong here.

Finding Payloads in my .bin

Post by Scaffy » Wed Aug 12, 2009 11:06 am

I've tuned my car using BE and Tweecer and have now gotten my hands on a Tweecer RT. I would like to get the RT side of things running, but no work has gone into finding the payloads in the def for my car. It's NVMG8 and my catch code is 6DFC EEC-V. Haven't heard of it? Cos it's off an Aussie 302.

Is all that I need to find listed under the Payload and Tweecer tabs in BE? Currently, the addresses in these tabs are the GUFB values. Apparently my strategy is very similar to the GUFB, as that's what was used as a reference to create this strategy. Clint Garrity kindly converted it for me so I could use it on BE. I've been looking up these payloads in the A9L bin and trying to find them in my 6DFC bin. I think I may have found a few, but it's like looking for a needle in a haystack and I think the needle is made out of straw! I'm using hexplorer and have no idea what all the stuff I'm looking at means, or how it relates to each other, but have a few questions for anyone who may be familiar with hexplorer.

I hope to be able to use eecanalyser with it and get this tune down.

Oh yeah, in the "Tweecer" tab in BE, the addresses in the "Address" column lead me to a bunch of the same numbers in the A9L bin. For example, 0x8400 - 0x84FF is all A4. So when I went to 0x84B2 there's nothing but A4s as far as the eye can see. Is this meant to be so?

Again, in the "Tweecer" tab, what does the "Data" column represent, and how are the 2 columns supposed to relate to each other?
