Fuel rail temp, eec pinout

Post by Falconstein » Sat Mar 17, 2012 11:40 am

I'm wiring up my '03 Marauder 4.6 DOHC into my '82 Futura. and have problem locating " fuel rail temp" My Marauder EEC BMD0 RZAO1. The pinout lists Fuel Rail Temp on pin 8 but the color code (RD/PK)and signal number (791) are the same as "Fuel Tank Pressure" pin 62. is this a split signal? however look through other Marauder sites. Talk about the sensor on the fuel rail. but my engine has no temp sensor on the rail and the wire is missing for the original engine harness. Will this missing temp sensor affect the running quality and codes? I'm making it California smog legal.
thanks for any help

i don't recall them actually having a fuel temp sensor, the values may be in the calibration but that doesn't mean its used. If the fuel pressure sensor doubles as a fuel temp sensor then thats a new one on me, in any case, I'm curious as to what you discover, shoot me an email or a PM when you find out.

regardless, not having a fuel temp sensor won't make any difference running nor emissions wise
