Memory Mapped I/O configuration

This is where the BIN Hackers and definition junkies discuss the inner workings of the EEC code and hardware. General tuning questions do not go here. Only technical/hardware-specific/code questions and discussions belong here.

Memory Mapped I/O configuration

Post by 408Way1 » Sun Mar 03, 2013 12:33 am

I have been working on a full dis assembly of the way1 (VEX1) for a while now. I was wondering if anyone had gotten the memory Mapped Inputs at $0xD3 Identified as to the port numbers and if there is a control register. The WAY1 uses bits 2,3,4, and 6.

;* Bit 2 RPAxx IPSPS
;* Bit 3 RPAxx ITCS
;* Bit 4 RPAxx I4X4L
;* Bit 6 RPAxx BOO

Also anyone have the CART Registers at $0x0922 - $0x0926 and $0x092A - $0x093F.

At this time I am about 90-95% completed. Any help would be greatly welcomed.

As I have continued my work. it seems that Reg D3 is loaded from Reg 03 but 2 bits at a time? It seems that the output bit 5, AIRD is written straight to R47 which is written to R03. Is Reg 03 only writeable as a byte and to read as 2 bits (0,1) at a time? I would think this part of the code would be simular for any eec-iv.

Please Help

I forgot to say that the bits listed above seem to be from the LSI/O port 0xD3. Bit 5 is used as the divert valve for the EGR.

In looking at the A9L the code is at : 26BD - 26EC. Anyone have a clue? $0930 is only read in this part of the code.

Please help

03 is only read 1 bit at a time because its a bit flag, its a bidirectional LIO port

i haven't really dug too much into it so im not sure exactly what its doing but if its any help

in the a9l binary...

26c8 sets bits 2 through 7 to 0 but keeps bits 0 and 1

0b is the HSI state
after it swaps bits 50 gets pushed

c4 is a timer for vehicle speed, i've seen it referenced for the closed throttle neutral timer

i THINK this code is in case the ecu is reset while the engine is running

probably do best by asking sailorbob or mpaton, they've both done disassembly on the ahacb strategy

These pages might help you determine what is going on.

I found this book as a torrent titled FordEEC-IV_pocket_ref_Jan_1991.zip

Could someone host this file guide? im having a hard time finding it now that TPB has been taken down. The torrent sites that have it listed dont work. If someone could put it online, i would be more than happy to host it and any other EEC files i have from my google drive account for anyone who wants it. If anyone has anything else of interest, id be willing to make a public folder for people to add files to, so there would be a central location for all of this information.

Thank you very much for that! I was looking last night and couldn't find any more sources of it. I'm going to put this in my Google Drive, and make all of the files I find pertaining to these computers available for everyone.

Can this file be posted someplace else? I can't seem to access it from the Microsoft sight.

Thanks,

I have it in my Google Drive. I posted the link somewhere on here, but here it is again.

https://drive.google.com/folder/d/0B3c0 ... VnRnc/edit

This is to the whole folder i created to share all the tuning and dev files I have found. It's in there, along with many other files you might find interesting.
