1985 Intel Microcontroller Handbook
Found this yesterday;
http://bitsavers.informatik.uni-stuttga ... ndbook.pdf
On the assumption, it translates to 8061, Chapter 3 really makes it easy to understand what's going on and cleared up a number of things I was not grasping.
I've not seen the Detailed Instruction Set Description anywhere else.
Having just tripped over the 1985 Microcontroller Handbook, I get the impression some people are enjoying watching some newbs stumble round in the dark trying to understand with only half the info available.
Come on boys fess up, and put some links up, to your gold mines of information.

Re: 1985 Intel Microcontroller Handbook
I used the '80196 user manual' a lot to start with. Don't bother much now.
Doesn't have 8065 extensions, and much stuff not relevant. BUT hugely useful for the basics and contains excellent explanations in opcodes and adressing chapters.
It's a pdf and too big to post here, but available on web also as MCS-96.

and has reference

Re: 1985 Intel Microcontroller Handbook
The Intel Application Note AP-248 "Using the 8096" covers pretty much everything I've needed to know about the 8096.
Re: 1985 Intel Microcontroller Handbook
Thanks Derek.
Have had that one myself for a while, a little above the starting point I needed.

Any one got any others ?

Re: 1985 Intel Microcontroller Handbook
Mpaton reminded me that we had THIS doc to start with, and it's a very good foundation primer. Written by Tom Cloud, quite a while ago.....
It deals with the basics of the EEC-IV and 8061, and some of the strategies and issues. Enjoy !!

Re: 1985 Intel Microcontroller Handbook
I guess that's an older version of this one:

Re: 1985 Intel Microcontroller Handbook
Yes, I think that's right - two versions, later one has more info on some of the funcs and tables.
