Anything about Ford EEC tuning. TwEECer and Moates questions dominate, but there's some SCT and OBD-II knowledge too.

LA3_SD.BIN correct XDF file?

Post by TURBO COUPE » Mon May 31, 2021 7:43 am

Trying to open the LA3_SD.BIN file with the T23B.XDF but everything is all over the place and doesnt make sense. I can open a stock LA3 bin with the T23B xdf after modifying the bin size and base offset but no matter what i do i cant get the la3 sd bin to make sense. Could anyone help me with that? It would be greatly appreciated.

In case it helps any, LA3 is one of my 'test set' of bins for my disassembler. Although not perfect yet, it does produce a useful listing of code and most of the data structures. Unfortunately it cannot tell you what each actual data structure does, but I have attached the listing and message file (which gives commands, so tells you what is where) in case this helps you sort it out.

You won't be able to use that definition for the speed density bin. It missing the extra parameters you need.

If you compare the SD bin to a stock bin you will see a shit tonne of extra code.

Try the definition file I posted in the above thread. I believe it has all the MAF and SD parameters. Unfortunately it's written for BE and might not open properly in TunerPro.

I tried all kinds of things trying to get an xdf that would work with the SD bin. Never did get it to work.

ADX/XDF are intended for use with tunerpro. DEF/BIN are intended for use with BE. They can not be intermixed from my understanding.
