BIN or BEB File

Post by kidd » Tue Sep 01, 2009 8:37 am

I am using BE and I pulled my SCT 6600 tune, and I was trying to use the compare function in the BE program to side by side view the two files but I cannot get the SCT 6600.BEB file to load. I get a (Wrong File Extension) box popping up, I was just wondering if I renamed the file SCT6600.BIN then saved it if I could pull that into the compare page then, I am able to view it by itself in the Tuner page but I wanted to do a side by side comparison, would be easier to note the differences in each program. So if anybody has got a view on this please get back to me.

Thank-you, Clint Garrity for answering my question for me.

Yes you can burn the beb to a F3 module. The beb just hides the info in the tune so that it can not be reversed engineered.

The BEB is nothing more than a BIN but encrypted.

Thanks,
