:bananadance:

My favorite additions in no particular order, nor is this a complete list:
  1. New data log chart with play back, zooming, panning and scaling
  2. New tree structure with three levels deep
  3. Level enabling and disabling with simple check boxes
  4. VID block editing on 4 bank processors.
  5. Live Mapping of a table
  6. Enable/Disable of change log
  7. Reverting back to to any history within the change log. (change log must be enabled)
  8. Database support for Adam Marrer's and Ben Head's strategies (most all mustangs 87-2004, Taurus SHO's, and Lightnings) Must use Dongle
  9. Compare differences in calibrations and then save those changes to disc
  10. All data log file names now are proceeded with the name of the calibration
  11. Dongle Support
  12. Lots of Gauge enhancements
  13. Speed at which BE starts up
  14. Splash Screen

Hi Clint that's great news. What is the process of downloading and registration. Or have I missed that somewhere? Are we purchasing a new licence for instance?

Thanks,

Yes this is a all new version so it is a different license. You can get a software license or hardware license. All of the licening can be explained here

I have for warned people on here and other sites that BE2012 was coming. It was in the works and was going to be out by the end of the year. I just released it a little early.

Clint's not pulling the plug on BE2010, so what is the issue? Keep using it. If BE2010 was no longer being supported, then you have a fair argument. This happened to me when I was using SCT gear. 3yrs later, my x-cal1 was obsolete, if I wanted to change my tune I had to repurchase a new x-cal3. Swore to myself that I would bolt on a carby before I supported SCT again. That's just an opinion, nothing more.

Sorry for the dumb question.. So with BE2012 we can have it installed on say 4 laptops and all you need is the dongle for them to work.. basically like the way SCT has their software now?

I didn't see a mention of what's new in EEC Analyzer 5.0. Just noticed the version bump a little while ago.

Are you offering any special packaged discounts for people with EA 4.0.8.9 & BE 2010 to get the latest versions?

Thanks!

EA 5.0 is the same but it allows the dongle to control the license. Nothing has changed other that that. It is a free upgrade for EA software licensed users.

The only package deals i offer is when they (BE and EA) are purchased together.

I don't think I have seen anyone else give feedback on this, or maybe I have missed it.

I have had a smooth transition going from BE2010 to BE2012 on my 10" notebook. Hardware dongle was recognized immediately and updated the registration itself. When I plugged in the QH, it too was recognized immediately. It writes, updates, datalogs- cant ask for more than that.
I haven't tried any new features yet.

In my mind I had visions of uninstalling BE2010 from my notebook, installing BE2012, registration problems, unrecognized hardware, driver issues, datalogging timeouts etc etc. and possibly having to reinstall BE2010. Talk about glass half empty.....

What a breeze, took 10mins tops.

I know there are lots out there that won't be updating for a while, but for those that are, you can breathe a little easier.

I have already had a laptop die once already, and i hadn't completed my tune to a satisfactory level at the time. Only did this as a bit of insurance really.

I got the dongle a few weeks ago. Works great, and updating it when I purchased EA was a breeze. It allows me to keep my tuning "PC" a VM, and if I want to put it on a dedicated laptop sometime down the road, no problem. Just waiting for Adam to finish his defenition updates so I can start using BE2012.

Did I read this correctly? As an EA 4.x user, can I just download and install EA 5.x without buying an updated license?

Yes the only difference is that 5.0 allows for the dongle in addition to the software license.

Does BE2012 allow the user to select the number of Banks? I use 2 Banks with AOL3/CRAJ0 not 4 like was the popular belief.

My Acer Aspire One tuning laptop didn't work well with BE2010, it took forever for it to load and refresh. Will BE2012 address this?

2012 is faster but i can not say if it will be better on your PC.

As for the loading of only 2 banks no it will load all four

the two bank selection only works on the tweecer and most people use the QH. There is no real reason to only do two out of the 4.

The down side to using the 4 Bank tune is that each tune will take up 2 switch positions so it effectively reduces the number of tunes that can reside on a TwEECer from 4 to 2. In my case I already have 2 different tunes and working on a 3rd for max fuel economy during hwy cruising. In reality it doesn't pose a huge problem but multiple tune capability was one of the key selling points when I purchased my TwEECer. Just requesting that you reconsider the 2 Bank option for future versions of BE. Merry Christmas.

Am I reading this right, that licenses don't transfer to future revisions? So if I purchase the software now and it requires multiple bug fixes, when those errors are corrected I have to purchase the software again?

no, if you own 2010 you will get all 2010 bug fixes for free. If you own 2012 you get all 2012 bug fixes for free.

Bug fixes and updates are at no charge. But upgrading to new versions is not free. It's just like Microsoft doesn't upgrade you from WinXP to Win7 for free. But they'll give you WinXP updates to fix bugs and vulnerabilities until they deem the software obsolete and drop support for it. The same is true here.
