Alternative reliable setup

Post by Oldman » Sat May 24, 2014 10:05 pm

OK, I'm fed up. I have a Tweecer with IBM ThinkPad and solid state hard drive. A3M1 computer (like an A9L). Frequently when I make a pass, I do not get a data log in CalCon. It just stops logging. Then it is fine for a while.

When I try to upload tunes, I get frequent lock ups on the upload and I have to restart CalEdit. I do have BE but have not tried it much, so I guess I can or should do that.

The worse thing is sometimes it seems like my tunes get corrupted. I had things good for a few weeks and then last Friday the EEC was going dead just as I shifted. It would just flat cut off and then restart a second later. This may have something to do with the crashing. It seems like reloading the tune fixed it, but I'm getting a little fed up with it all.

Is there any other system that is better? I'd love to ditch the Ford antique computer. I already have to fool the thing by scaling the engine size, injectors, and MAF to a reduced size. I'm ready to move on and get rid of the system I have.

Thanks for any suggestions.....

more than likely you have something corrupt in the tune, thats one of the issues with caledit, caledit has been updated, try the update should fix your issues

if you want, post your tune and someone will verify its not corrupt
