How's it goin? Im new to this forum thing so please excuse ignorance.
Ill keep it simple with the facts and appreciate any help thank you.
This is the info i feel may be relevant.
1. 04 f150 eec vi- mhr1
2. superchips vivid linq
3. Failed drivers+melted cats
4. Reman eec vi- mhr4
5. Had a locksmith reprogram my keys
6. Everything works great.
7. Attempted to use the vivid linq and it wont connect-i thought possibly due to vin mismatch
8. Now I have the kess v2 clone
9. When I attempt to read or id using the kess unit I get an error message " change of status not possible"
And thats where I am now

I was told whoever rebuilt the pcm may have changed the bit? To protect it from being reprogrammed? please help or provide directions to the highest cliff both will work. Thank you

03 was the last year for EEC in the f150, 04 got the powerpc

Most likely they didnt copy your old ecu to the new, that would cause the VID block to be blank which is the most likely problem

Contact popsracing and see if he can hook you up
