Maf for Siemens Deka 60lb Inj.

Post by Limey » Fri Jun 17, 2016 7:50 am

Hi, first post newbie
Looking just for a tune to get me running decent before going for a dyno/pro tune.
Dart 427 sbf, 60lb injectors, what maf?
just read on here these do no want a maf setup for 60lb like some others?
Ran engine up on stand with carb, now incar with efi, PMS (anderson 4) and a Abaco 97mm maf.
fired it up on that, had a 42lb tune, changed it to a 60lb and its running horrid, misfiring...idles but sounds like plug wires are all wrong.
Anyways that apart, will a PMAS get me going, if so what one...or a Pro M.
Abaco maf, Accufab 90mm tb, and SV efi all bought from a forum. Had to get Anderson Motorsport to email the software to me.
Car runs like shit now....seems lean as hell. Only running it for under a minute...headers super hot straight away.
Glad i run engine on a stand before in case this efi had issues.
Thanks guys

I don't know where you read the Siemens Deka 60# injectors don't like a maf calibrated for 60# injectors. That is false.
Most people on here don't recommend mafs that are calibrated for a an injector flow rating. Instead get a maf that will support the airflow for the amount of horsepower you plan to make. That being said, since you are using an Anderson PMS you are forced to use a calibrated MAF. Get a MAF calibrated for 60# injectors. Pro-M and PMAS make quality meters.

best bet would be to get a QH so you can tune it correctly

Have you considered ditching the Anderson PMS? I'm pretty sure these days the QH is a far superior tuning solution.

Howdy,

I'm running the SD 60lb injectors on my 414W stroker with a '06 Ford slot MAF in a 4" OD tube. Runs great but did take a little tweaking.

Like everyone stated, dump the PMS and get a QH.
