Does anybody have a CQAB1 def file for BE?

Anything about Ford EEC tuning. TwEECer and Moates questions dominate, but there's some SCT and OBD-II knowledge too.

Does anybody have a CQAB1 def file for BE?

Post by cgrey8 » Tue Sep 06, 2016 7:39 pm

I wanted to open the XDT2.bin file (97 Explorer 5.0L) posted on the eecanalyzer.net website, but my VERY old copy of sailorbob's CQAB1 cry file doesn't seem to work with the latest BE. It throws errors. It used to work, but doesn't seem to anymore. So does anybody have a CQAB1 xls or cry that will show me at least MAF & Injector Parameters?

That's all I wanted. A guy in a different thread was asking me for my empirically found Injector parameters for the 19lb EV6 style injectors with EV1 connectors that come on 96-97 Explorers. I suggested he start with these values. He's using a C&L 73mm, but I've wanted the Explorer MAF in the past so I was wanting access to that.

But now that I know its here in the forum, no need for the def file anymore.

It might be nice to have a spark table posted here as well...just as a starting point for people using GT40p heads with the Explorer cam.

it takes about half a day solid to manually cross calculate a final spark table

good luck with that

Isn't there an excel spreadsheet that could help with that?

if someone created one, none exist to my knowledge

it would be significantly less time consuming to create a program that just sucked the variables out the bin and ran it through though

Anyone come up with anything better or closer than the a9l2 for spark tables for gt40p heads. I was running 15 degrees at wot and I changed it to 22 made a huge difference in car. Trying to find that right timing during load above 90s for boost up to 10 psi max.

im sure it does, 22 degrees is ALOT for a boosted gt40p setup with 10lbs, not knowing anything about your setup I'd recommend about 19 or so for safety

just be sure to read your plugs and run good fuel
