Starting without throttle

Anything about Ford EEC tuning. TwEECer and Moates questions dominate, but there's some SCT and OBD-II knowledge too.

Starting without throttle

Post by Fordpowered90 » Fri Apr 27, 2018 1:21 pm

What needs to be changed for car to start cold/warm without having to open throttle? ISC cranking or Cranking vs ECT Fuel? ive multiplied tables in cranking vs ECT by .3166 (19/60).

I think you have taken too much out of the Crank Fuel. I would go back to stock and reduce by 10ms at a time. Sorry I don't remember the layout or the values so that 10 might also be 0.10. Just keep clipping it until it starts. You may have to put your foot to the floor (gas) to shut off the injectors to clear the flooding.

Thanks for reply, yeah the values i had was flooding it, i finally got it started back by using stock values and holding throttle open. i'll try reducing like you say.

You can use FN884-ISC crank duty cycle to add more air while cranking.

Did you solve your issue? If so, what adjustments did you make?
