changing ECM data

Anything about Ford EEC tuning. TwEECer and Moates questions dominate, but there's some SCT and OBD-II knowledge too.

changing ECM data

Post by thequietman45 » Sun Jul 29, 2018 5:55 am

I am running a fiveology MAF conversion on a 427W. I changed this 95 Bronco over last year and it ran better than when it was SD. I am now in the process of dropping a 427W stroker in here and I am not sure how to load all the changes with my QH? I went thru BE and changed the CID, MAF, Injectors, etc but how do I load it? Right now the ECM is on my dining room table.

You write the changes to the QH and plug the QH into the ecu.

Thank you and yes...……...I feel stupid now. If this was setting points with a feeler gauge I'd be ok.....

I don't miss points, or rotor buttons, or dizzy caps. Lots of things seem obvious once you know how, don't worry about it.

i am going to push this Bronco into my pond so it can be a reef  (just kidding its only fresh water)

I tried to fire it up but it acts like the timing is off and I even removed the valve cover and verified the intake and exhaust valves were closed. Anyway, I have QH and a base tune file using AHAC2 on a WAY1 computer. It smells rich and will not idle at all. When I fire up BE and try to load the tune I am not having any success.

I am running a 36# MAF and injectors from fiveology where I got my MAF conversion stuff. I did this conversion last year with 19# injectors and the flow tube for 19's. It ran just fine.

When I moved this 427W into the engine bay, I came up with 36's so I got the red tube and 36# injectors. Its a TFS stage 1 cam, edelbrock intake port matched to the 61mm BBK TB. I am running a K&N CAI and just for GP I moved my IAC to the K&N tube.

Engine specs besides what's already listed
forged steel crank
Forged pistons
GT40 heads ported with 1.6 roller rockers
MSD Billet ready to run with steel gear
Aermotive AFPR set at 40psi

Any help would be appreciated
