removing the smog system from 1990 5.0

Post by shelb94 » Sat Sep 08, 2018 2:23 pm

I'm installing a 1990 5.0 efi in my 1965 Mustang and I'm eliminating the smog system. While removing the components I came across a bypass valve that is no longer needed. If I disconnect it and discard will the eec still function properly (engine idle, etc)?

If you mean the thermactor bypass valve then yes you can remove that without any issues
