flashing back to stock

Anything about Ford EEC tuning. TwEECer and Moates questions dominate, but there's some SCT and OBD-II knowledge too.

flashing back to stock

Post by Keith89 » Mon Sep 09, 2019 6:18 pm

2004 Mustang GT 2.1KB

long story short, the chip in my only working key stopped working. However, I can still drive the car around with the ford remote start as there is a working chip in there. I was able to read the SCT flashed tune off my ECU with the quarterhorse and binary editor. However, I have no way to flash the ecu back to stock with the SCT XCal as i do not have key with a working chip. Any suggestions? Should i try loading a stock calibration on the quarterhorse and disable the PATS?

Another question. If i have a tune flashed to the ECU and i install a quarterhorse with a stock calibration, does that mean the quarterhorse will not make any changes and the car will run as if it is just running off the flashed ECU tune?
