Wideband sensor replacement

I've got the below set up in my car, but I think the sensor is bad. I looked on summit and the replacement sensor is about $120. I thought I'd read somewhere that some Volkswagens use the same sensor, but it was significantly cheaper. Does anyone know what year/models Vdubs that use those?

If your WB controller can use LSU 4.2 sensors (the older sensors that require open-air calibration), then you can use those Volkswagon sensors which are cheaper through eBay ($28):

This one isn't a Bosch, it's some other brand. But I've been using it for about 6 months now and it seems to work just fine.

Now back to the sensor you linked to that's $120, that's an LSU4.9 sensor, which is the newer technology that most WB controllers are going to. But you can also get them off eBay for way cheaper too. Here's a link I found ($26):

However I have not used these to know how well they work. Nor do I know if the connector on this particular one matches what your controller takes. I think it's the same connector as the typical LSU 4.2 like the one older Innovate WBs take (and thus what the Volkswagon sensors are). But note they are not inter-changeable. Your WB must support the newer LSU 4.9 sensor (my old LC-1 does not). And even if your controller supports either sensor, you usually have to tell the Controller which one is connected. I don't believe the controllers auto-detect.
