92 mustang 5.0 5speed A9L
Hi, I just now got around to taking my car out of storage from last year. When put away it ran perfect.
I started it and noticed it wouldn't idle on its own. I then noticed the fuel pump would not stop priming with the key at run.
I removed the fuel pump relay and checked it with a meter. It works fine.
Loaded a saved version of my program still wouldn't stop priming.
Went into the fuel pump prime table and put it down to 4 seconds and loaded the changes. Still kept priming.
Opened up the computer to see if I had a burnt capacitor and everything looked good.
Removed the moatesquater horse and the pump primed for the normal time and shut off. Started the car and it ran pretty good for being a stock program with mods.
Tried to re seat the chip but it still didn't make a difference.
I've had this chip for probably 8 or so years and this is my first problem. Any idea whats going on? Is my chip fried?
Thank you for your time.

Most likely the QH battery is flat.
Moates can now fit a clip in battery holder.

Re: My fuel pump won't stop priming.
Awesome. Thank you. I was thinking it might be the battery. I'll order one and install it asap. Again thank you for pointing me in the right direction.

Hope the new battery solved the issue.
