Tweecer Works but can't READ EEC! (98 Cobra)

Post by lxh89 » Thu Dec 26, 2002 6:37 pm

Just bought a tweecer about a week ago from Ben Frazier (v8mustang.com). Anyways, I have successfully tested the tweecer by raising idle rpms to 2000 rpm, advanging global timing, etc and verified that it does indeed work; however, I have been using the AOL3.bin found on the web site as my default program. I attempted to do a READ EEC with the switch position at #5, but when I do, all I get is corrupt tables. If I try to look at any scalars, etc, they are full of junk data. One other thing, when it's reading from the EEC, it reads extremely fast as opposed to when it writes a program into a position. Also, in the lower right where it normally shows the Processor Code and EEC Strategy Code, theres nothing in the proc code and the eec strategy code shows CRAI8. And in the manual it shows HEXADECIMAL in the output window, while mine is blank after a read.

Any ideas what could be causing this? Is it a software bug?

Thanks,
Tony Skinner
