Anything about Ford EEC tuning. TwEECer and Moates questions dominate, but there's some SCT and OBD-II knowledge too.

Pro-Flow meter

Post by JMG9350 » Sat Jul 06, 2024 4:10 pm

Does anyone have any MAF transfer data for an older 75mm Pro-Flow meter calibrated for 36lb injectors? Even something relatively close so I can datalog and tune it from there?

36/19=1.894
Multiply your stock maf transfer by 1.9.
Start tuning.

Do I leave the volts alone and only multiply kg/hr data?

Heres the transfer numbers from my Pro M 36 75mm Unflanged Bullet and the voltage values that look odd are adjusted by BE..

These values are in lb/min as when calculating the throttlebody flow it states to MAP in KG/hr then convert to LB/Min and then enter the info...

Just know though that my Pro M meter didnt last too long due to the brains being cheap crap from china with the sensing wire burning out... When I took it out of the tube I realized the fitment issue between the tube body and the spot where the O-ring seals and realized the o-ring was barely sealing due it being too high plus it had an extra feature added which was an Air intake temp sensor built in that wasnt even utilized....

Im sure I can replace the unit from a Cobra but I just switched back to my 70mm MAF from a 94 T-Bird with aluminum housing.

I too was running Holley 36lb injectors with my MAF so heres my injector info I used..

AHISL Fuel - Injector High Slope 35.9995 LBS/HR
ALOSL Fuel - Injector Low Slope 44.1003 LBS/HR

That maf data just looks wrong. If thats KG/hr. Your top values should be near 1500

That would be how its supposed to look when in LB/Min as when calculating throttlebody flow rate it states to datalog in kg/hr then enter the info in lb/min so I figure it should work the same with displaying the MAF settings....

I'll try the injector and MAF data. I also have both 70mm 94-95 Mustang and 70mm 94-95 TBird MAF's. The Mustang MAF is installed right now, and I'm still using the stock A9L MAF transfer data (30pt). I lost the data for the TBird MAF transferring to a new laptop. Is one better than the other? Or preferable?

Thanks for providing some data. I have an appointment with a tuner that is familiar with Foxbody's and QH/BE on the 18th. Hopefully I have a good base for him by then, and he can get it all squared away.

I have been trying to log data while driving the 10 miles to work and back. Lean tip in is an issue, stalling coming to a stop, I don't trust the AFR enough to go WOT. Slight bucking down low.

I can't figure out how to upload pictures. It keeps saying the file is too large.

Which injector offset did you use? There are 2 in your chart.

The tuning session went well. The new engine made 306hp, 346tq to the wheels on a Land and Sea dyno. He said I was very close with the changes I made to the tune, and he made some minor tweaks to MAF transfer, injectors, transient enrichment, and manifold filling.
