Injector Timing question
I'm logging:
PW1
PW2
% of Load
Actual Load
RPM
VBAT
I wasn't sure which one is LOADX (% of Load OR Actual Load) so I logged them both.
The problem is that when I try to calculate injector timing I recieve the following error:
"The value entered in for Row 2 Load must be between 1 and 200"
Anyone getting this error? It's been happening since I upgraded to EA 2.6.6

Yes, I got that error when I first installed the latest version. I wiped it out and reinstalled it and haven't seen it since. I've notice another couple of glitches but haven't been able to repeat them reliably. That notwithstanding, it's another excellent job by Clint. Once again, I have way more power and information than I know what to do with. :D

I got it.
I see right off the bat that you are at 84% duty cycle and your MAF is extremley lean at the upper end. I would be careful at WOT until you get the MAF dialed in
As for the injector timing, I was able to calculate it without any problems. I will back track the error message to find out what is happening.

I've just got the LC-1's in place and am going from there to tune the MAF.86GT wrote:I got it.

Nope, Calcon is off86GT wrote:My first question would be, is the WB readout the same as what is being logged?
14.XX is reading 16.XX . Thats from watching the output of the LC-1 while logging A/F in Calcon.
LC-1 is showing 14.XX and Calcon is showing 16.XX while at freeway speed. I am going to log the volts from the WB and create a new table with the correct values.

Did you install the resistor on the wire going from your wide band to pin 27? Sorry I can't find the thread that talks you through the installation. I don't think it will correct 2 AFR points but it can't hurt to try.

You also stated in another thread that the AFR is drifting. This leads me to believe that you have a bad connector or solder joint. How did you connect the WB to the EEC.
I soldered mine to a cut off O2 connector. I was then able to plug this into the EVP connector. If you use crimp (butt connectors) you have a chance of drifting. The PLX also comes with a capacitor to filter out noise.

Same. There is no resistor in my setup, I am using the DataQ to get A/F information into Calcon, not the EGR stuff.86GT wrote:You also stated in another thread that the AFR is drifting. This leads me to believe that you have a bad connector or solder joint. How did you connect the WB to the EEC.

Shouldn't need it, analog 1 goes 0 - 1V and is wired into the O2 harness for the ECU and analog 2 is 0 - 5V and goes straight to the DataQ and into Calcon. I'm going to try the 0 - 2V setting for analog 2 and see how that works out.86GT wrote:Even still the resister may need to be there. I am not to sure on the LC-1 stuff.
