Any chance of this board going with Tapatalk so that it's supported on the Iphone??

I do have some pretty significant changes/updates/new features in store for this site in general coming very soon (I plan on having the 'beta' of the new site viewable to a few select people so I can get some feedback hopefully at the end of this weekend or early next week).

I do like the idea of having the forum available in a more 'integrated' way on the new smart phones - so this is definitely possible. It is not, however, planned for the initial site revamp and I will have to look into it further to decide whether or not this is the correct way to go and if/when it can be implemented.

I will look into it and make an appropriate announcement concerning its (or something similar) use sometime shortly after the new site is unleashed.

Hey Jon I developed a fix for phpbb to open links in new window if that's something you're interested in. It always annoyed me you couldn't enable that in 3.0. I've dug into the back end code a lot over the years (though it's been a while now), so would be happy to test for you if you'd like.

Edit: And ajaxchat is a good mod too, I've hacked it so only reg users can be on it/see it, and invisible users won't show in the online list :)

It isn't going to be phpBB based, sorry fellas those plugins will not work. I do have a mobile version on the list of todo's...but the initial release of the new site will not encompass that, basically because you (and myself) are one of the few that visit the site using a mobile device:



...so as you can see mobile/portable/touch devices are a pretty small portion of the site traffic (this image represents July 2010 - August 2010).

You/we shouldn't have to wait too long...mobile/touch access is essential in todays world and is only going to get more prevalent. It is on the upper end of my todo list...

Yeah I am not worried about it at all as I know you will get it added as time permits..
And yes you are correct just about everything I have now is touch screen...
