Is my cam grind considered "high overlap"

Post by rdubb17 » Fri Mar 06, 2015 12:53 pm

Would you guys consider this a high overlap cam? I did some calculations and at 050 lift, I had a -1 degree of overlap. This number sounds to me like I do not have a high overlap cam. However it's certianly doesn't act like it and is pretty "loapy". I'm using 1.7 RRs too.

at 0.006:

59 degrees

This is based off of:
intake: 284
exhaust: 290

no thats not high overlap thats about common for most off the shelf sbf cams maybe even a touch less

i would consider high overlap to be in the 70+ range

That said, would you expect that I would have the capabilities to dial in fuel at idle? I.e. matching lambse and feedback?
