Anything about Ford EEC tuning. TwEECer and Moates questions dominate, but there's some SCT and OBD-II knowledge too.

FYI, I've been running the SailorBob CBAZA def file with BE2012 for months now. *shrug*

I understand why there are BEB files and don't have a problem with that. However when I downloaded your tune out of interest, I was surprised to find you'd sent out a .BEB. I would have thought something you were contributing as a CBAZA starting point and for discussion would have been a .BIN

So I have no comments on it as I can't read it.

you can pm sailorbob if you have BE2010 he can send you a readonly

i think on the eecanalyzer site theres a read only as well

I don't know, it really wasn't even that big of a deal. I sent him an email and and the conversation went something like this (very paraphrased)

Me: I have BE2012 and I want to use your stuff

SailorBob: I've never tested this in BE2012, but see if you can open this read only in 2012

Me: Nope, that sucks

SailorBob: Oh....you should try this *random thing that I don't remember he told me to try*

Me: Sweet it works......here's money.

And I've been tuning with it in 2012 for months now *shrug*

I'm sure he could, but I don't have any other use for it. Are you telling me that your only option is to save your bin encrpyted?

correct, otherwise it would be a bin, i'd prefer it a bin so others could use it too but thats not possible

decipha, i'm really looking forward to working with this, and very much appreciate you posting it.

would you maybe have a 60# injector template? i'm using frpp specs now, but EA says my slopes should be 37/80, way off (this is with my tune, not with your tune)

my current tune pretty good, but recurring problem with hyper-rich on tip-in. maybe yours will cure it.

Did you shift your WB in EA, then run the injector calculation?

For me, I've found it helps, and shows me that I'm much closer than I thought with the Ford specs.

did the EA calc, but no "shift your WB" --you mean the WB calibration tab in EA? i'll give it a look

hey, decipha, when i tried the tune, i set injector parms & the MAF. on start, crank is good, startup is good, then pw goes to 0 and stays there. what might cause that?

No. Datalog tab. After you open the new datalog, go into "Filters". Shift WB is one of the filters. I think the default is 5. You'll have to look at your logs to make an educated guess and take into account your WB location. Mine is further downstream in the exhaust, so I used 8.

No sweat. Make the adjustment and rerun the injector calc. See if it looks any better.

decipha:

I loaded up your base tune to see how my car responded, and after coping all the injector and maf data from a j4j1 tune, the car feels like its getting too much fuel. After it dies from backing out of the garage, it will not re-start, but just crank and barely catch.

Do you have a template for 24 pound injectors, for cbaza? 24lb ev1.
