Datalogging with Quarterhorse - Patch Code

Post by TwistedTwins » Mon Dec 05, 2011 1:15 am

I have been on a mission to understand more about the Datalogging setup in the Quarterhorse, I feel like I have a pretty good understanding of the Payload tab and what everything means. I am now diving into the patch code to try to get a better understanding of what it is doing. I did some searching on the forms and could not find a good explanation of what that data does. I am looking at the free CBAZA XLS file for reference if that helps. Any insight you guys can provide would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Cody

The Quarterhorse is capable of reading anything in external RAM, which is 90% of everything you would want to see. As I understand it, there are a handful of variables that are stored in the CPU's internal register file. This area is not accessible to the Quarterhorse. The patch code is there to copy those values to an unused location in external RAM to make them available to the Quarterhorse.
