Missfiring at 3000RPM

Post by UdoFink » Wed Dec 28, 2011 10:44 am

Hello,
just have little time for my own stuff so I put an 302 out of an 1986 F150 to dyno just for testing new software.
The engine is complete stock an I converte to mass flow A9L .It run very fine up to 3300rpm and then it make missfiring so heavy that the exhaust muffler burst. It is same with ore without load.
I cange wires, plugs, cap and rotor and try other ecu and flow testet the injectors
Missfiring is only on bank2

Some Idee?

Regards Udo

hey udo,

if your using an aftermarket wiring harness make sure you do not have the rev limiter wire connected, some aftermarket harnesses have an extra wire when connected causes a 3k rpm rev limit

After log time I have the wiring in my hands and you are right
on the ignition module at the distributor was a pin that shoul have power only at starting and that was on power all time
