Anything about Ford EEC tuning. TwEECer and Moates questions dominate, but there's some SCT and OBD-II knowledge too.

I have an EEC6 and need to find maps

Post by rmrmd1956 » Sat May 05, 2012 11:18 pm

My eec6 is from an aston martin 2007 vantage. The eec is ford based and likely similar to other spanish oak MPC565 microprocessors of the time. US companies do not support this strategy. There is no published strategy code for this, but I'm guessing much of the code is similar to other ford products. I have supercharged the car and want to find enough scalars, functions and tables to do the tuning job. Will all my table values be 32 bit hi-lo floating point? Will any be 16bit? How do I find the 'x' and 'y' axis header values? Is there a pointer to a different address for this? Anyone know the format for the MAF transfer function? anyone know the typical programming HEX code around the injection scalars to give me a hint where to look. I need at least, load with failed MAF, MAF transfer function, engine displacement, injector parameters, basic fuel and spark tables, wheel torque error and a number of DBW tables, driver demand torque, indicated torque inverse table, open loop feedforward throttle angle prediction table among others. Can anyone help me? I'll let you drive the car!!
I've uploaded my flash and ecu details and some maps.

you may be able to run a known mustang calibration and strategy on the ecu thats already well supported, you'd need to bypass the anti-theft for starters and you may loose some of your other supporting systems like body controllers and maybe stability and what not, nothing i can think of off the top of my head as being detrimental, it may be do-able, since you have a kess can you try flashing a gyx1 cal w/ theft bypassed to see if she takes, thats where i'd start, if it works it'll save you a bunch of time and headache

Cross Reference the hardware type to this http://www.motorcraftservice.com/vdirs/ ... uIndex1=25 go down to the latest calibration link and you should be able to find a Ford vehicle with the same hardware and available support.

I've just downloaded 6U7ASB, s/w FBNF255.HEX and 7R3AAVB, s/w FPAG0G5.HEX from a 2006 and 2007 Mustang GT. Dealer was very helpful. I've already found some more maps but not all table value are 32bit FP. Load is, spark is, driver torque is but I can't find MAF or injectors. How do they encode the MAF, what are the units? they don't appear to be volts and lb/min and injectors are not in lbs per hour. Does anyone know what the unit scales are??
